What Is the Super-Gap Startup Project?
The Super-Gap Startup Project is a government initiative designed to identify startups in emerging industries that are expected to drive Korea's future economic growth.
Selected startups receive support for technology commercialization, R&D, and other business development programs, with the goal of helping them grow into global unicorn companies.
Since the project began in 2023, approximately 200 companies have been selected each year, with a total of 804 startups supported to date.
Since 2023, a total of 12 companies based in Chungnam Province, including four newly selected companies in 2026, have been selected for the Super-Gap Startup Project.
Among the selected companies, 15 startups with outstanding three-year performance in sales, employment, and investment will be eligible for additional commercialization funding of up to KRW 1 billion over the following two years.
Plaque Presentation to Connected Insight and WIRobotics
On June 8 and June 15, 2026, the Chungnam Regional Office of SMEs and Startups visited Connected Insight and WIRobotics, respectively, to present commemorative plaques recognizing their selection for the 2026 Super-Gap Startup Project.
Selected startups will receive up to KRW 600 million in commercialization funding over three years. Depending on their individual needs and the results of a separate evaluation, they may also receive up to KRW 600 million in R&D funding.
This means that selected companies can receive up to KRW 1.2 billion in direct government support.
In addition, specialized organizations will provide support for investment, exports, technology development using infrastructure, open innovation, and global market expansion.
